Early Intervention, Determining Strengths and Weaknesses

An assessment is a valuable first step in understanding your child’s unique strengths and needs. It helps us identify how your child learns best and where they may need support, whether in learning, behavior, or social situations.

With this understanding, we can create the right plan early on, giving your child the support they need to feel more confident, build skills, and succeed in everyday situations.

Our Assessments

APPLIED BEHAVIORAL ANALYSIS ASSESSMENT

Understand how your Child Learns, Interacts, Plays and Communicates

Our Initial Needs Analysis Assessment is our specialized ABA assessment designed to give us a clear and comprehensive understanding of your child. We look at how your child learns, behaves, and interacts across different environments, with a strong focus on skills related to school success.

This assessment is especially important for children who may present with ADHD, learning difficulties, autism, or developmental delays, as it helps us understand what may be impacting their progress and what support they need most.

By identifying these patterns early, we are able to develop a targeted, individualized plan that supports your child in building the skills they need for school and everyday life.

ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT

Reading, Writing & Math

Academic assessments help us gain a clear understanding of how your child is learning and performing in key areas such as reading, writing, and mathematics. They highlight your child’s strengths, as well as any areas where additional support may be needed.

They can also help identify signs of learning difficulties such as Dyslexia or Dyscalculia that may be impacting your child’s progress in school.

By identifying these areas early, we are able to create targeted strategies that support your child’s learning in a practical and meaningful way. This allows us to build the right plan to improve skills, increase confidence, and help your child keep up and succeed in the classroom.

COGNITIVE ASSESSMENT

Focus & Attention, Memory, Problem Solving Skills

Cognitive assessments help us understand how your child thinks, learns, and processes information. This includes important areas such as memory, attention, problem solving, and reasoning skills.

They highlight your child’s strengths, as well as any areas where they may need additional support. These assessments can also help identify signs of learning difficulties or differences that may be affecting how your child learns and engages in school.

With this understanding, we are able to develop targeted strategies that support your child’s thinking and learning in a practical way. This helps improve focus, problem solving, and overall learning, allowing your child to feel more confident and supported both in school and in everyday situations.

COMMUNICATION & LANGUAGE ASSESSMENT

Verbal Communication

Our communication and language assessment helps us understand how your child communicates, both verbally and non verbally. This includes areas such as understanding language, expressing needs, vocabulary, sentence structure, and social communication.

It helps identify your child’s strengths, as well as any challenges related to language development or social interaction.

With this understanding, we are able to create targeted strategies that support your child in communicating more clearly and confidently. This helps improve everyday interactions, build stronger social connections, and support success in both school and daily life.
